2) How would you describe your sound: Tender, intimate, vulnerable, edgy, folky confessionals.
3) Why Chicago: I interned at Audiotree with Rick Fritz, and was between Chicago and Philly after college. I made the decision because I have connections in Chicago and I knew that Chicago had a strong and diverse music scene.
4) What Is your favorite city to play outside of Chicago? New York
5) What is your favorite Chicago artist making music: Mia Joy. Runner-up Hemlock, but only runner-up because they don’t live here anymore.
6) What is your favorite venue to play: Sleeping Village. The production quality is insane, and they’re committed to putting on diverse acts and giving smaller artists a chance.
7) What is a venue you want to play but haven’t yet: When I first moved to Chicago I told myself that if I couldn’t play a show on the stage at Metro in five years I would pack up and move to Philly where all my college friends went. That’s the one where I’ll invite all my family members to come.
8) Favorite takeout place: Pho’s Tai Cuisine. 3332 N Lincoln. I’ll order a large Tom Kha and a large Pad Thai that I’ll eat on for a week.
9) Fuck, Marry, Kill: The L, Divvy Bikes, Metra: Definitely marry Divvy Bikes. Kill Metra because I’ve never taken it. Fuck the CTA because it’ll get you what you need nice and quick but I wouldn’t want to be stuck with it for the rest of my life.
10) Where do you see yourself in five years: I don’t know if I see myself in Chicago. I do see myself moving to the East Coast because of the proximity to New York and other artists that I am used to working with and knew in college. Have a lot more music out and have a few more tours under my belt.
